Customer Support Agents
When a large share of support volume is routine and repetitive, and agents spend more time on order status than on problems needing judgement.
Support agents resolve routine contacts end to end and escalate the rest with full context attached. The escalation quality matters as much as the deflection rate: a human receiving a case with the history already assembled resolves it faster than one starting cold.
The design risk is over-automation. An agent that cannot recognize when it is out of depth produces worse outcomes than one that escalates early.
What the work includes
- End-to-end handling of routine contacts across the channels you support
- Escalation with full conversation and account context attached
- Explicit confidence handling, so uncertain cases reach a person
- Feedback loop from resolved cases back into the knowledge the agent uses
