AI Readiness Assessment
Before committing budget to an AI programme, when nobody can yet answer whether the data an AI system would need is actually reachable, current, and governed.
A readiness assessment answers a narrower question than a strategy engagement: not what AI could do, but whether this organization can currently support it in production. That distinction matters because the common failure is not a bad idea, it is a good idea that stalls at an integration nobody surveyed.
The output is an honest picture of where usable data lives, who controls access to it, which governance already exists, and which gaps would block a deployment. Some findings are uncomfortable — the assessment is more useful when it is allowed to be.
What the work includes
- Inventory of systems holding data an AI layer would need, and who owns access to each
- Assessment of data quality, freshness, and whether it is reachable programmatically
- Review of existing governance, identity, and audit capability against what AI use requires
- Gap analysis with the blockers ranked by what they would actually stall
